The times you will always remember as a dad with your son at their first Glenbawn dam ANSA comp with their first bass.

My son said to me a little while back after being very worried about how I might react to his relevation. "Dad you know when you take me fishing...... I don't really like going"

I love that little bloke. He was churning inside about this and he didn't want to tell me he doesn't want to go fishing because he was worried it would hurt my feelings. Maybe in time this will change but for now I'm on my own :)

Different result compared to the start of the thread but kids are great aren't they.

I fish with a good friend who makes lures and his son also isn't the fishing kind, so he has adopted my one and a recently departed friends son when he wants that interaction. Fishing by yourself definetly has its charm and solace.

Love it,

Ive had my boys fishing since they were two. When we were back in Oz at Christmas the boys really got into beach fishing. The weather was crap but for three days straight they wanted to fish the beach. Mum loved it to as they were out of the house for up to 6hrs. They are only 6 and 4 now so there was more running and swimming than fishing but they just loved being out. Beach worming was a huge hit aswell.
