After a very frosty morning and a few undersize flathead, myself,Nick(wildcountry)and his mate Pete decided to try our hand at catching some carp. All of us have never caught them before,so it was a bit of a hit and miss affair. We knew they were in this area, having seen tailing and cruising fish in the past, but trying to find a decent spot proved a problem due to choking weed all the way up to the banks. After walking a bit of the bank,Nick spotted some tailing fish, that was enough for us to start casting. After a couple of pulled hooks,i finally landed this beast!!

She pulled the scales down to 11kg.Not bad for my first carp!
Cheers,Adam. (It's not really a BASS BYCATCH as we were not chasing bass, but it was caught in water that we are pretty sure has them in it.) |

Shirebassa picked that baby up with a piece of bread. Hell of a fight, I don't know who was more tired at the end of the fight, the fish or Adam. But fighting a fish through a salad soup will exhaust anyone. nick |

| That's a very solid carp mate... I'm all for a good carp killing session... I have seen a few at one of my locals that would easily be double that size... Hopefully I can manage to get s photo of one dead this season... |
