28/05/09: The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is reminding anglers a ban on taking Australian bass and estuary perch from all rivers and estuaries is in place from June 1, for three months, to protect these important recreational species, Minister for Primary Industries, Ian Macdonald, said today.

19/05/09::– NSW Department of Primary Industries will commence a re-snagging program in the Darling River at Wilcannia to improve native fish habitat, NSW DPI Conservation Manager Aquatic Habitat Rehabilitation, David Cordina, said.
